The Department of German Language & Culture focuses on cultivating and training students to become competent leaders who can contribute to the globalized world. Our focus is on developing expertise in German-speaking countries, enabling students to possess language proficiency, cultural knowledge, and mulitmedia content creation skills. By nurutring leaders with humanistic qualitites and strong information processing abilities, our goal is to foster professionls who can actively engage in political, economic and cultural exchanges between Korea and German-speaking countries.
Education Purposes
The Department of German Language & Culture aims to cultivate female leaders in various important fields of our society, including literature, news media, broadcasting, publication, diplomacy, trade and education. We achieve this by providing students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the German language, literature and culture. Our goal is to empower students to excel in these areas and make significant contributions to society.
Education Goals
- Foster cosmopolitan visionaries who will drive international collaboration and foster mutual understanding in the realms of science and art, drawing inspiration from the cultural richness of the German-speaking region.
- Cultivate female leaders who possess a unique perspective on Korean culture, gained through the exploration of Eastern and Western traditions, deep engagement with German cultural heritage, and expertise in German language and literature.
- Empower professionals with a practical skill set and a well-rounded liberal arts education, enabling them to meet the evolving demands of our globalized world and make meaningful contributions to society.
